A study on the correlation of environmental concern and age within a small town By Sam West
The question on trail is: Do Environmental issues and activism have a strong correlation between specific age groups (regardless on race, and social standings)?
Purpose: The scientific purpose behind this study is to open and expose beliefs, the project will not be completed with a biased outlook. It will try to show opposing attitudes per age group within a small location (that location being Brewster).
Materials to be used:
A Survey (Amount to be determenined)
The US Postal Service?
Closed Metal boxes (Three)
Methodology
1) Design survey
2) Find out if possible to attach survey to Green Chimney’s newsletter
3) Distribute survey through newsletter, and high school (Survey to be handed out in a limited number to faculty and student body to have an even ratio)
4) Collect Results
5) Draw conclusion
Facts about Brewster:
-Has elected two members of congress with opposing views on Global Warming
-Has a local chapter of FROGS (Friends of the Great Swamp)
-Putnam Land Trust works protect property within Brewster
-SUV use is very high
-Bike trail is to be completed within Brewster
